Back Then Festival – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Conditions”) govern all tickets issued for Back Then Festival and apply to all attendees’ entry and participation in the event at the festival site. By purchasing, holding, or using a ticket, you agree to these Conditions and the Site Rules.

If there is any conflict between these Conditions and any rules published by our Official Ticketing Agent, these Conditions will take priority.

1. Ticket Purchase & Delivery

1.1 Authorised Sellers
Tickets can only be purchased via our official website www.backthenfestival.co.uk, our Official Ticketing Agent, or other sale/transfer methods approved by us in writing. Tickets bought elsewhere (e.g., resale sites, unofficial vendors) are invalid and may be cancelled without refund.

1.2 Purchase Limits
We may restrict the number of tickets per person, per payment method, or per household. Tickets purchased above this limit may be cancelled without notice or refund.

1.3 Payment Verification
The card or bank account used must be registered to the ticket purchaser. We and/or our Official Ticketing Agent may request proof of purchase to prevent fraud. Suspected fraudulent orders may be cancelled.

1.4 Order Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation and booking reference once your payment is processed in full.

1.5 Delivery
Tickets will be issued as e-tickets sent to the email address provided. If you do not receive your ticket within 7 days of the event, contact our customer service team immediately (see Contact Section).

1.6 Ticket Validity
Your ticket must match the correct date and age category. Incorrectly purchased age-category tickets are invalid and will result in refused entry without refund.

1.7 Age Policy

• Anyone 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult aged 21+ with a valid ticket.

• That adult must remain on-site for the entire event.

• Entry will be refused to under-16s without an accompanying adult.

• We may challenge ticket types or deny entry if age restrictions are not followed.

2. Ticket Use & Transfer

2.1 Tickets are personal, revocable licences and remain the property of Back Then Festival at all times.

2.2 Tickets must not be resold, transferred, or advertised publicly (e.g., online resale) without our written permission. Tickets found in breach of this clause may be cancelled, and entry refused without refund.

2.3 If you buy multiple tickets, you must attend with your group. You may transfer spare tickets only to people you personally know, at face value (no profit), and they must agree to these Conditions.

2.4 Tickets cannot be:

• Sold as part of a package (travel, accommodation, hospitality) without approval.

• Used for competitions, promotions, marketing, or resale for profit.

• Exchanged for goods or services.

Breaches may result in ticket cancellation, refused entry, or legal action.

3. Refunds & Cancellation

3.1 Line-up Changes
Line-ups and schedules are subject to change without notice. Artist cancellations do not automatically entitle you to a refund.

3.2 Event Changes
We reserve the right to change the date, time, venue, or duration of the festival due to circumstances beyond our control (including weather, safety issues, or government guidance).

3.3 Cancellation or Postponement

• If the festival is cancelled before it begins, you may request a refund of the ticket face value.

• If rescheduled, you may use your ticket for the new date or apply for a refund within the announced deadline.

• Booking fees and delivery charges are non-refundable unless required by law.

3.4 No Refunds Will Be Given If:

• The event starts but is later stopped for any reason.

• The start time is delayed.

• You are denied entry due to incorrect ticket type, missing ID, or breach of these Conditions.

4. Venue Entry & Requirements

4.1 Entry Times
Entry is only permitted before 6pm. Late arrivals will be refused entry.

4.2 Searches & ID
Security checks (including bag searches) will be carried out on entry. You must provide valid photo ID if requested.

4.3 Prohibited Items
The following are banned:

• Glass bottles or containers

• Alcohol or soft drinks (empty reusable water bottles allowed)

• Camping chairs, large umbrellas, beanbags

• Sound systems, BBQs, generators

• Drones, fireworks, flares, smoke bombs

• Illegal substances, nitrous oxide, weapons

• Professional camera equipment without written permission

• Promotional or branded items without authorisation

Confiscated items will not be returned.

4.4 Behaviour
We may eject, without refund, anyone who:

• Is under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol

• Acts violently, abusively, or disruptively

• Enters restricted areas or damages property

• Fails to comply with instructions from event staff or security

4.5 Wristbands
Tickets may be exchanged for wristbands on arrival. Wristbands are non-transferable and must remain intact for the duration of the festival. Lost or tampered wristbands will not be replaced.

5. Media & Recordings

5.1 Personal Use Only
Photos and videos may only be taken for personal, non-commercial use. Commercial recording or livestreaming is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Filming & Photography Consent
By attending, you consent to being filmed or photographed for security and promotional purposes. These images may be used across media channels indefinitely without payment or approval.

6. General

6.1 Health & Safety
Loud music can damage hearing. Ear protection is recommended. Strobe lights, pyrotechnics, and special effects may be used.

6.2 Children
It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to determine if the festival is suitable for minors.

6.3 Alcohol
You must be 18+ to buy alcohol. If you look under 25, you will be asked for ID.

6.4 Liability
We are not responsible for lost or stolen property, travel or accommodation costs, or other indirect losses.

6.5 Accessibility

6.6 Amendments
We may update these Conditions at any time. The latest version will be available at www.backthenfestival.co.uk/terms.

6.7 Governing Law
These Conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
